Training Tips

The CU Marketplace provides powerful search functionality with results that can be filtered and refined. As fiscal year end approaches, we have created four document searches to help you quickly identify and review your open Purchase Orders, Requisitions, Vouchers, and Change Requests.
Starting this fiscal year-end, Departments are responsible for reviewing and closing their transactions. Use the Open Transaction Searches to decide which documents should be closed before fiscal year end and which should carry forward into the next fiscal year.

The CU Marketplace provides powerful search functionality with results that can be filtered and refined. After you view a Search List, you can use the Quick Filters section on the left or the filters above the list to narrow the list to those documents that contain specific attributes.

When completing the Goods and Services Request Form to purchase a Service using a Non-Catalog Requisition, you’ll be asked whether you have a Quote or a Contract. Your response determines what documentation you’ll need to attach to your requisition and if you will be required to submit a Contract Request. It is important to select the correct option based on specific criteria, explained below.

Based on your Purchasing Information details and the Goods and or Services lines that you added, the Required Attachments page will display the required attachments (indicated with an asterisk *) that you must upload for your purchase. You should ensure that you attach the appropriate document indicated in each field and label them accurately (i.e., Scope of Work, Quote etc.). Only upload the documents asked for on the Required Attachments page; do not upload additional documents.

If you are a Voucher Approver reviewing a Voucher and need the Initiator to make changes and then resubmit into workflow, you should ensure the Voucher is returned to the Voucher Initiator and not the Purchase Order (Requisition) Initiator.

If you are an Approver reviewing a Requisition or Voucher and need the Procurement Initiator to make changes and resubmit, choose the Return option to send the document back for revision. For Requisitions, you have the additional option to Reject. If you select Reject, the Requisition will be terminated and the Initiator will not be able to edit or resubmit.

The CU Marketplace automatically assigns the approval workflow for Requisitions and Vouchers based on various criteria.
